Bacterin

Indications:

Protects cattle, goats, and sheep from diseases caused by pasteurellas and strains of various clostridia, which cause symptomatic anthrax, malignant edema, necrotic hepatitis, enterotoxemias, hemorrhagic septicemia, pulpy kidney, bacillary hemoglobinuria, edematous swelling, and pasteurellosis, which are highly prevalent in our livestock.

Dosage:

Cattle – Calves: 5 mL

Sheep – Goats: 3 mL

Composition:

Bacterin composed of chemically inactivated cultures of:

Pasteurella multocida type II 1 x 109

Pasteurella haemolytica 5 x 108

Clostridium chauvoei 1 x 109

Clostridium septicum 1 x 109

Clostridium sordelli 1 x 109

Clostridium perfringens type C 4 x 108

Clostridium perfringens type D 4 x 108

Clostridium novyi 5 x 108

Absorbed in aluminum hydroxide for a slow release of antigens.

Administration:

Subcutaneous from three months of age and older.

 

Warnings:

Shake the contents before application. In case of adverse reactions, administer epinephrine and, as adjuvant therapy, antihistamines or anti-inflammatories. In areas with a high incidence, revaccinate every 6 months, especially young animals. Once the vial is opened, do not store leftovers. Store in refrigeration between 2°C to 8°C, do not freeze. Keep out of the reach of children and domestic animals. Prescription required.
