Antibiotic

Indications:

A bactericidal antimicrobial composed of a combination of Sulfadoxine and Trimethoprim, with a synergistic effect that provides a broad spectrum against infections of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, urogenital, and podal conditions. It is effective against Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Pseudomonas, Enterobacter, Escherichia Coli, Fusobacterium, Aerobacter, Campylobacter, Klebsiella, Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, Staphylococcus, Corynebacterium, Nocardia, Streptococcus, Bordetella, Chlamydia, Actinobacillus, Actinomyces, and Coccidia.

Dosage:

Cattle, horses, pigs: 3 mL per 50 kg of body weight, every 24 hours for 3 to 5 days.

 

Withdrawal Period:

Meat: 10 days Milk: 4 days

Sulfadoxine 250 mg Trimethoprim 50 mg Excipients q.s.p. 1 mL.

Administration:

Deep intramuscular or slow intravenous.

Warnings:

The product should not be used in patients with pre-existing liver disease, blood disorders, or a history of sensitivity to sulfonamides. High-dose and prolonged use of sulfonamides can lead to urinary precipitation, increasing the risk of crystalluria, hematuria, and renal tubular obstruction. Minor inflammation, pain, and tissue damage may occur at the injection site. Transient itching has been observed in horses after IV injection. Use with caution in pregnant animals. Intravenous administration should be slow. Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, protected from light. Keep out of the reach of children and domestic animals.
